Underground Coffee Company can have you shaped up in no time with a two hour comprehensive barista training session. Learn the importance of crafting the perfect grind, tamp and coffee extraction, as well as milk texturing & pouring techniques and machine maintenance.
The UG team have a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of coffee and provide a fun and friendly learning environment covering an in-depth introduction to the fine art of espresso. Training classes are either one on one or two people at a cost $150 per person and are held in our training facilities at the Underground Head Quarters at 5 Cass Street Sydenham Christchurch. Times are subject due to availability and start 4.30pm weekdays. At Your Cafe
We firmly believe your barista is the critical tool in the espresso process. We cover all your training needs with our extensive barista training class, focusing on the whole coffee process from green bean to the perfect cup.
Our role is not only to supply you with great coffee but also to train, support and monitor you and your baristas, insuring your team not only embraces the craft of espresso but strives for excellence, thus ensuring your success. As part of our service to the cafes that use Underground Coffee, barista training is provided free of charge.
Our Training Techs
Jonny Todd has been kicking around in the industry for a number of years and brings vast knowledge and expertise to his training sessions. He will turn the dedicated learner into a quality barista in no time!
Aimee Nolan is a talented trainer tech with the ability to get the best out of the baristas she trains. Attention to detail and passion for her job is what sets her apart from the rest.
